EDP Sciences is pleased to announce that Mechanics & Industry publishes all articles open access.
Authors should pay an Article Processing Charge (amount in 2021: 1100 €), only if (and after) their manuscript has been accepted, please see the price list.
Authors also benefit from the transition to full open access. The journal publishes articles under a CC-BY license, enabling authors to retain copyright and be fully compliant with any open access requirements of funding organisations.
Corresponding authors from institutions which are part of the French National Open Access Agreement are able to publish in Mechanics & Industry with no article processing charges (APCs).
Similar agreements are already in place with German academic institutions and eligible Chinese Academy of Sciences institutes, authors can get 20 percent discounted APC price, find details here.
The French Association of Mechanics (AFM) and EDP Sciences will continue their efforts to secure funding for APCs via such agreements.
