Welcome to the Manuscript Management System (MMS)
of Metallurgical Research & Technology
International Journal of Metallurgy

Aims and scope

Metallurgical Research & Technology is a centennial journal created in 1904 by H. Le Chatelier and thus representative of the great tradition of French Metallurgy. The journal, indexed in the current contents (web of science), informs you, through high-quality and peer-reviewed research papers in the field of ferrous Metallurgy (including more significantly the field of cast iron) and non-ferrous Metallurgy (nickel alloys, refractory steels, titanium, zirconium, etc.).

Within this framework, we would like to emphasise the importance of technological innovation as a support of the Metallurgy industry at a time when it has to tackle great challenges: energy, raw materials, environment, etc.

The journal wishes to strengthen the dialogue between science and industry. This is why articles that focus on industrial practice, basic knowledge of Metallurgy and review articles are especially welcome.

Article types: Technical and scientific articles

  • technical and economic information;
  • articles on processes, new products and experimental techniques;
  • review articles (state of the art on a specific topic);
  • original research articles dealing with technical, industrial or scientific aspects.

The journal is also available online with all the advantages of an electronic publication: articles submitted and managed online via the "Manuscript Management System (MMS)", provided with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) with cross-links to references (CrossRef), and the table of contents sent automatically.
